Audi the German automobile giant has come up with the all new Audi A8L luxury sedan, which the company claims to be best in the segment. The car promises great luxury comfort as well as high end performance and so is definitely a car not only for the extra rich who like to sit at the rear seats but also for those who like to enjoy driving holding the steering wheels. The Audi A8L offers redefined riding experience and comes with three powerful engine options- two petrol and one diesel.
The cutting edge design of Audi A8L is prominent enough to catch every one’s attention at the very first glance. The most identifying feature of A8L is in form of muscular trapezoidal radiator grille which is formed by a combination of lower and upper sections. Also the big and nicely shaped headlamps with LED daytime running lights give the car a definition of style assuring luxury. The rear view of the Audi A8L is sporty and majestic and with the unique tail lights, the car gets an aggressive look.
With its elegant styling and quality of workmanship, the interior of Audi A8L is a treat to the senses. This variant accelerates from 0-100 Km/hr in 6.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/hr. The second one being the 6.0 L Quattro W12 petrol engine that produces an output of 450 PS @ 6200 rpm and a torque of 580 Nm @ 4000 rpm. It accelerates from 0-100 Km/hr in 5.2 seconds and attains a top speed of 250 km/hr. And finally the third variant is the 3.0 L TDI Quattro diesel engine that produces a power of 233 PS @ 4000 rpm & a torque of 450 Nm @ 1400 rpm. This one accelerates from 0-100 in 7.9 seconds and delivers a top speed of 243 Km/hr. All these engines are coupled with a six speed automatic transmission.
The 4.2L (petrol) variant costs about Rs 83 lakh, the 6.0 L costs about Rs 1.26 Crore and the 3.0 TDI will cost around Rs 72 lakh. The Audi A8L comes in a lovely range of colors including Night Blue, Phantom Black, Brilliant Black, Deep Green, Oyster Grey Metallic, Cherry Black, Impala Beige, Avus Silver Pearl, Ice Silver Metallic and Ibis White. Possible competitors to this luxury sedan can be the Mercedes Benz S class, BMW 7 series and the Jaguar XJ.
