The German luxury automobile manufacturer with the four interlocking rings has always been the symbol of a perfect blend of luxury and technology around the world. In India Audi is well known for its ‘Q’ SUV’s along with its exquisite line-up of feature-rich sedans. Recently, Audi decided to enhance their line-up by adding another gorgeous product in the form of all new Audi Q3, a young & lively compact SUV ready to catch everyone’s attention. Launched last year in Europe the company didn’t hesitate to bring the same in India as soon as possible to compete with the arch rival BMW and Mercedes.
Exterior
Audi cars are known for their excellent engineering, robust build quality and luxury. The Audi Q3 even thought the cheapest Audi today in India is loaded with a number of aforementioned qualities. The distinctive styling of this SUV is quite similar to its elder siblings, the Q5 and Q7, but when it comes to dimensions, one may think otherwise. One of the striking features in this Q3 is Audi’s latest design language with a striking single-piece grille adorned by the four rings and angular headlamps that are sharply finished at the edges. The Audi Q3 doesn’t only impress from the front, but also looks adorable from any angle. Its flowing roof-like seamlessly blends into the D-pillar, giving the vehicle a coupe like look. Similarly the rear end also looks simply gorgeous. The SUV measures 4385 mm in length, while the width and height are 1831 and 1608 mm respectively.
Interior
The interior of the Audi Q3 adeptly lives up to its exterior. The cabin testifies to immaculate quality and excellent fit and finish. The neatly laid-out two-tone dashboard with the centre console titled towards the driver looks and feels rich. The 6.5 inch pop-up display integrated into the dashboard is an upmarket touch that will be appreciated by many. Also the vehicle gets a Bose surround system, climate control air conditioning system and plush leather seats that can take out every level of stress from you even after long hours of sitting in them.
Performance
Powering this superb vehicle is a 2.0 litre TDI four cylinder diesel engine which also serves the A6 and Q5. It produces a solid power of 177 PS @ 4200 rpm and a torque of 380 Nm between 1750 and 2500 rpm. Audi combines the engine with Quattro permanent all wheel drive which works with a hydraulic multi plate clutch as well as a seven speed S-tronic gearbox. These things let the Audi Q3 jump from 0-100 km/hr in just 8.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 212 km/hr while offering enhanced stability and better cornering thanks to the Quattro system.
Conclusion
Audi has already posted tremendous growth in the luxury segment and it’s not difficult to see why. The Audi Q3 is the smallest SUV from Audi and the price for this car is Rs 26.21 lakh for the base grade, which is the cheapest among all the Audi cars in India. Besides the Q3 gives a decent fuel efficiency of 13.5 km/litre, which is good enough to compete against the arch rivals BMW and Mercedes Benz.
It is well priced. Even fortuner buyers can evaluate it
