Lamborghini Superleggera

Last year Lamborghini came with the latest model of Gallardo, the LP570-4 Superleggera at the Geneva Motor Show 2010. The Lamborghini Superleggera 2011 model is faster and lighter than ever before. This high-performance variant builds upon the new LP570 Gallardo line that was first introduced in 2008.

The LP 570-4 is by far one of the quickest Gallardo’s ever made. With this model Lamborghini has presented an undoubted high-performance sports car. The car brings with it additional 10 horsepower and 154 lbs weight reduction.

The Gallardo LP570 is a two door coupe and weights only 2954 lbs. It is the fastest car from Gallardo so far that achieves 62 mph in just 3.4 secs and has a top speed of 202mph. The engine is a V10 with direct injection. The new Lamborghini Superleggera also runs the six-speed, robotized e-gear transmission as standard. Fuel consumption is down to 17.4 mpg.

Design And Comfort
Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera has extensively used carbon fiber for its interiors as well as exterior to make the car lightweight. Various locations where this material has been used is the engine hood, rear diffuser, underbody paneling, exterior mirrors, rear spoiler and side sills of the car. The exterior styling is breathtaking. The super car offers high level of comfort to its occupants.

Interiors
The hand-built cabin of Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera features monocoque carbon fiber sports seats, upholstered in Alcantara. The richly appointed interiors are very spacious, with ample head and leg room for the passengers. The standard features present inside the cabin of the coupe include Automatic Climate Control with solar sensor, radio data system, am/fm radio – with four speakers, 6-disc CD changer, mp3 player and in-glass radio antenna.

Ride And Handling

The most amazing aspect of Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera is that it is lightweight and weighs 154 lbs less than the standard Gallardo 2007 model. The finely tuned Wishbone front and rear suspension, independent with stabilizer bar and coil springs, absorbs the bumps, thereby providing a comfortable ride for its occupants.

The advanced safety features of Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera include Antilock Braking System (ABS), daylight running lights, Side Guard Door Beams, Front Side Airbags with Head Protection, Passenger Airbag – with Dual Stage Deployment, Front Outboard 3-Point Seatbelts, Side Guard Door Beams and Trunk Anti-Trap Device.

Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera is priced at Rs 2.2 Crore (approx) in Indian money. The coupe is available in a lovely range of colors, including Bianco Cygnus White, Borealis Orange, Giallo Halys Yellow, Grigio Altair Light Grey, Midas Yellow, Nero Noctis Black, Noctis Black and Telesto Gray.
